What Our People’s Say
About YMCA Liberia

"YMCA’s civic engagement programs have transformed me into an active and responsible citizen, leaders and an advocate who actively participate in decision-making processes. Currently I am Coordinating a Peacebuilding Project, leading seven (7) NGOs on peacebuilding and development work in Liberia".

Decontee George

Coordinating a Peacebuilding Project

Before joining YMCA, I had no sense of direction about protecting or saving my environment. The leadership training, I received changed my prospective and today, I work as a youth advocate on climate change creating awareness for other youth in a program I established called CYCLE. CYCLE is a Community Base organization".

Bayan E. Harris

Youth Leadership Program Participant

"YMCA gave me a second chance. Their mentorship and skills training helped me transition from the streets to a stable job. Now, I mentor others facing similar challenges and lead them to the YMCA."
